Congratulations to Assistant Professor Susu Zhang on being named a 2024 Outstanding Reviewer by the American Educational Research Association (AERA). She was formally recognized at the 2025 AERA Annual Meeting during the Publications Reception, an event celebrating excellence across AERA’s scholarly journals.
The Outstanding Reviewer awards honor a select group of scholars who have demonstrated exceptional service and dedication to maintaining the rigor and quality of AERA’s peer review process. This year, only 62 individuals were selected for this distinction across AERA’s six serial journals. Her recognition as an Outstanding Reviewer reflects not only her expertise in educational measurement and psychometrics but also her commitment to supporting the academic community through thoughtful, high-quality peer review.
Dr. Zhang’s research integrates latent variable modeling and statistical learning to develop advanced statistical and psychometric methods that address complex challenges in behavioral science. Her current work includes modeling complex behavioral data such as log and natural language data, response time analysis, and longitudinal modeling of learning and intervention effects.
