Math/Statistics Student Support Center
The Math/Statistics Student Support Center provides walk-in academic support and tutoring for students enrolled in a set of core introductory mathematics and statistics courses. The center is staffed by qualified teaching assistants and course assistants. There is no charge for access to services in the Student Support Center. Access to the Student Support Center is restricted to students enrolled in designated Math and Statistics courses (please see Courses Covered and Links for a list of courses).
Please visit the Math/Statistics Student Support Center. Other academic support may be provided for your course. Please visit your course's webpage for the most current information about that. Note academic support hours may change during exam weeks or due to special circumstances.
Statistics Tutoring
The Department of Statistics understands the need for additional help from time to time so the Statistics Tutoring Resources are made available to students to better seek out available tutors, either for a specific course or general statistical understanding. If you are in need of a tutor, you may submit a Tutor Request Form which will be emailed out to all available tutors.
The Department of Statistics does not specifically endorse any particular tutor over the other. After you have submitted your tutor request form, one of our tutors will contact you directly to make arrangements on dates/times/locations and what, if any, fees will be involved. Statistics students are permitted to charge tutoring fees and the Department of Statistics does not regulate or determine particular tutor fees. International Students are permitted to be tutors but are not permitted to charge for their tutoring services due to visa regulations.
