The Department of Statistics is proud to announce that the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences at the University of Illinois has named Professor Ruoqing Zhu a Brad and Karen Smith Scholar. This prestigious recognition honors faculty who demonstrate outstanding expertise and academic excellence in mathematics.
Awardees are selected for their research contributions and scholarly impact within the mathematical sciences. As a Smith Scholar, Professor Zhu will hold the title for three years and receive dedicated funding to support his ongoing research.
