High Dimensional Data Analysis, Spatio-temporal Data Analysis, Statistical Learning, Graphical Models, Bayesian Analysis
My research mainly focuses on developing theory and methods in the fields of statistics and machine learning, to understand complex high-dimensional data, and applying these methods to various real life applications.
Specifically, I am working with Prof. Naveen Narishetty on developing a Bayesian framework to achieve sparse graphical models which depend only on the relevant covariates using conditional random fields. Additionally, I am also working with Prof. Bo Li and Prof. Rebecca Smith on developing statistical models for spatio-temporal data to help the Mosquito Abatements Districts (MADs) and other health departments in Illinois to control the spread of West Nile Virus infections.
