Any faculty member at the Statistic Department can create a position. If you are unable to create a position, please contact the site manager (ytliu@illinois.edu). See the expandable sections for further details on how to create a job posting.

I am co-teaching a course with another instructor. When I create a position for the course, how can I make it so that the position will also show up in the other instructor's "Your Position" section when he/she logs in to the system?

When you click "Add new position" button, you will be asked to fill out a form. There is an "editors" field in the form, which autofills with your netid. You can add more netid's in the field (separated by commas). For example, if you enter: NetID1, NetID2, NetID3 in that field.

Instructors with the three netid's will see the position listed in their "Your Position" section and they all can edit the information of the position. However, the netid's you enter must correspond to the Statistics faculty members on our faculty page. If you want to include faculty members outside the Statistics department, please contact the site manager (ytliu@illinois.edu).

How do I migrate my previous CA position to a new term?

All of your previous positions are saved in an archive database. When you login to the system, you should see a tab labelled Archived Positions (Click to show/hide) as shown in an example below. You won't see it if you have not created a position before.

Click the tab to show your archived positions.

Click the position you want to migrate. You will be directed to a new page showing the information of the archived position.

Click the Migrate to new term button. You will be directed to a new page.

The form is automatically filled based on the information of your archived position. Edit the information there and then click either the Create and Unpublished button or Create and Publish button.
