The Department of Statistics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) invites applications for an open rank faculty position in Statistics and Data Science. This full-time, nine-month appointment (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) offers a unique opportunity to join a growing and innovative department with nearly 1,000 undergraduate majors, 200 graduate students, and a strong tradition in research areas including statistical theory, methods, computation, and interdisciplinary applications like machine learning.

Position Overview:

Candidates at the Assistant Professor level must demonstrate potential for high-quality research and teaching. Those applying for Associate/Full Professor should provide evidence of established excellence in both research and teaching, appropriate for an appointment with tenure.
Required Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Data Science, or a related field is required by the time of appointment.
- Salary ranges are competitive, with a budgeted range of $130,000 to $140,000 for Assistant Professor, $140,000 to $160,000 for Associate Professor, and $160,000 to $230,000 for Full Professor, based on a nine-month service period.
